Introduction
Arsenal’s return to the Champions League has been stellar, with the team losing only once on their way to a semi-final meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners shocked the football world by defeating reigning champions Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
Arsenal will now face PSG in a high-stakes semi-final. Although they beat the Ligue 1 side in the league phase, the stakes are much higher now.
They must begin the first leg with intensity. If they can get the Emirates Stadium rocking, PSG could buckle.
Bukayo Saka’s sharp movement and Gabriel Martinelli’s pace can trouble PSG’s defence. They must target the centre-backs, Pacho and Marquinhos.
A quick start would give Arsenal the confidence to shape the rest of the game in their favour.
Centre-backs William Saliba and Jakub Kiwior must also be vigilant.
If allowed to roam freely, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue can cause Arsenal problems.

PSG dominated the midfield against Liverpool and Aston Villa, and Arsenal cannot afford to let this happen again. Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves, and Vitinha are extremely effective in the centre of the park.
Arsenal need another big performance from Declan Rice. His showing against Madrid was one of the best for the club.
The Gunners will be without Thomas Partey, who is suspended after receiving a yellow card in the victory against Madrid. Rice will need to be at his best.
Midfield control will be key in deciding who progresses to the final. If Rice fails to get to grips with PSG’s midfielders, Arsenal’s hopes of reaching the final would diminish.
