Gyokeres has scored goals for fun in Portugal since moving from Coventry City. After netting 43 goals in 50 appearances last term, the Sweden international has already scored more this season.
On Friday night, t he 26-year-old was back among the goals in the 3-1 win over Moreirense. After failing to score in the 1-0 away win over Santa Clara, ending a run of bagging in six straight games, Gyokeres netted his fifth hat-trick of the 2024/25 season.
The first goal came in the 12th minute when he converted from close range before doubling his tally with a powerful strike past goalkeeper Kewin. Gyokeres then completed his hat-trick after half-time with a perfect free-kick.
After the game, Gyokeres was asked about his future in Lisbon by Sport TV. “My future? No-one can predict what will happen, we enjoy the moment,” he said.
